Resolved Question: i have been looking at spokane washington and it looks like a beautiful place to live....?

i saw pictures and videos of the surrounding area and i am impressed, i know it probably gets cold, very cold, but for those who have been there or live there now, please tell me the good , bad and the ugly if there is, it seems very reasonable in cost to live there, nice university, parks, and the river. i like the fact it is close to cor de lane idaho which is a place i want to visit, also boise. i just like to know how safe it is in the area or which part of town not to go to. things like that, and what kind of recreations are there....
